maximum casting speed of the CSP Caster can be calculated by means of pinch roll motor RPM & its gear ratio.
let pinch roll motor has RPM = 970 rpm
& its gear ratio is 165
also dia of pinch roll is suppose 420 mm
then
speed of pinch roll = its rpm / gear ratio
i.e 970/165= 5.87 rpm
speed of pinch roll in m/min
= 5.87 * periphery
= 5.87*3.14*420/1000
= 7.75 m/min
thus this CSP Caster has maximum casting speed capacity would be around 7.75 m/min
however it depends upon thickness of slab, metallurgical length, grade of steel, superheat temp., specific water & on many variables.
but this machine can have maximum casting speed will not exceed this much if all conditions are satiesfying.
